Letting Protection Service Scotland

If your deposit is protected with the Letting Protection Service Scotland, its Help page has a virtual agent called Shona that answers questions about its service, quick links to check that your deposit has been protected and to request a new 'Repayment ID', and a dedicated help line.

Good to know

Its page says not all telephone operators in other countries have agreements to route calls to non-geographic UK numbers. mygov.scot says that if your scheme asks whether you agree with your landlord's deductions, you have 30 working days to answer, and that if you do not reply your landlord gets the deductions they ask for. The opening hours of the help line are not stated on its page.

Before you call

They can

  • answer questions through its virtual agent, Shona, on its Help page
  • point you to quick links to check that your deposit has been protected and to request a new 'Repayment ID'

We list this organization because it is a national service for the need on this page. We’re not affiliated with it, and we don’t speak for it. Last checked October 10, 2026: we opened its own site and confirmed this link and number. We don’t call the lines, and hours can change — their site has the latest.
