Llais (Wales): free help to make an NHS or social care complaint

Llais gives free, independent and confidential complaints advocacy. Its staff help you raise a concern about an NHS or social care service, including on someone else's behalf, answer questions about the process and explain your options. There are local teams across Wales.

Good to know

The number is Llais's general enquiries line: for complaints advocacy its site says to contact your local Llais team, and it lists the seven teams. Llais says NHS Wales has had a new complaints system since 1 April 2026 and that it can support you in it. It does not give advocacy directly to children and young people about children's social care services, but it can help them with concerns about NHS care. It cannot provide medical or support services: for urgent advice use NHS 111 Wales, and call 999 in an emergency.

We list this organization because it is a national service for the need on this page. We’re not affiliated with it, and we don’t speak for it. Last checked October 10, 2026: we opened its own site and confirmed this link and number. We don’t call the lines, and hours can change — their site has the latest.
