Modern Slavery & Exploitation Helpline (Unseen)

If you, or someone you know, is being forced or tricked into work, or an employer is holding your passport or ID, you can talk to a trained adviser or report it online.

Good to know

You can stay anonymous. They ask your consent before passing your details on, unless someone is in immediate danger or a child is at risk. In immediate danger, call 999.

Before you call

They may ask

  • whether you are somewhere safe and can talk safely, and whether you are hurt
  • what happened, when it happened and who is involved

They can

  • talk with a trained adviser, and keep your details confidential or anonymous if you ask
  • help with a referral to a support service, safety planning, or reporting it to the police if you want
  • take no action if you do not want it, and talk again later

They cannot

  • answer outside 8am to 6pm while its hours are reduced
  • replace 999 if you are in immediate danger

We list this organization because it is a national service for the need on this page. We’re not affiliated with it, and we don’t speak for it. Last checked October 10, 2026: we opened its own site and confirmed this link and number. We don’t call the lines, and hours can change — their site has the latest.

Heavy moment? Call Samaritans on 116 123 — or we’re here.
