Flooding Incident Line (Northern Ireland)

You use this number to report flooding in Northern Ireland, such as flooding on roads, burst water mains and blocked drains. When you report an incident, nidirect says staff will know which agency needs to respond. It is a line for reporting. It is not a flood warning service.

Good to know

nidirect says: “This service isn't for emergencies.” If there is a risk to life or someone is in danger, call 999. In a big storm, help may be slow to arrive. After Storm Chandra in January 2026, a Department for Infrastructure director said of its response in Antrim: “We appreciate that there were delays... communication issues.” If you are in danger, call 999 rather than waiting. Calls to 03 numbers “cost no more than a national call from any type of phone or provider”, according to nidirect. To check whether an area is at risk of flooding, nidirect points to Flood Maps NI. For a blocked gully or problem with roadside drainage, nidirect points to its online road drainage fault form. If your home is flooded, nidirect says to contact your utility suppliers.

Before you call

  • send you flood warnings: it is a reporting line, and Floodline does not cover Northern Ireland
  • show you whether your area is at risk of flooding: nidirect points to Flood Maps NI for that

We list this organization because it is a national service for the need on this page. We’re not affiliated with it, and we don’t speak for it. Last checked November 1, 2026: we opened its own site and confirmed this link and number. We don’t call the lines, and hours can change — their site has the latest.
