Revenge Porn Helpline

If you have been a victim of intimate image abuse, a Helpline practitioner can give you advice and support, by phone or by email. If you want help with reports of users, you can send a screenshot or direct link to their profile.

Good to know

The Helpline can only support victims who live in the UK and are over 18: if you are under 18, its page points you to other help and advice. It is run by a charity. Calls cost the same as calls to a standard 01 or 02 landline number. If your phone plan includes calls to landlines, calls to this number are included too. It does not use a call queue, which it says protects callers from unexpected call charges. Outside opening hours, a chatbot called REIYA gives advice at any hour: it is software, not a person. Check your junk or spam folder for its email replies, because the word 'porn' in its address means some email providers may filter them.

Before you call

Have ready

  • direct links to any content that has been shared online, to send by email if you can
  • what has happened, if you are able to tell them: has someone shared your images online, and where? Is someone threatening to share them, and where? Do you know who is doing this, or did you meet them online?
  • a screenshot or direct link to the person's profile, if you want its help with reports of users

They can

  • give advice and support to someone who has been a victim of intimate image abuse, by phone on 0345 6000 459 or by email at help@revengepornhelpline.org.uk
  • call you back if you ask: its page says you can ask for a call back by email, giving your contact number and a convenient time to call, and that it responds as soon as it can within opening hours
  • help with reports of users, if you send a screenshot or direct link to their profile
  • give advice at any hour through its chatbot, REIYA, which is software, not a person

They cannot

  • support anyone under 18 or anyone living outside the UK: its page says it can only support victims living in the UK who are over 18
  • answer the phone outside 10am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, or on bank holidays
  • make a platform take an image down if the platform refuses: its 2025 annual report says some platforms, mostly based overseas, refuse takedown requests

Calls cost the same as a standard 01 or 02 number, and a phone plan that includes landline calls includes 0345 calls too. Replies by email may land in your junk or spam folder.
