Northern Ireland Traffic Penalty Tribunal

The Northern Ireland Traffic Penalty Tribunal is an independent tribunal established within the Northern Ireland Court Service to consider appeals against Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) issued by or on behalf of the Department for Infrastructure (DfI). An appeal can be dealt with by personal appearance, by postal application, or by telephone conferencing.

Good to know

It can only become involved once you have made your complaint to the Parking Enforcement Processing Unit and it has been rejected. You have 28 days from the issue of the Notice of Rejection to appeal. If your appeal is late, you can still submit it, but you must state why: the Adjudicator first considers your reasons and decides whether to extend the time. Please do not send any money to the Tribunal. Address: 2nd Floor, Royal Courts of Justice, Chichester Street, Belfast, BT1 3JF. Email: TribunalsUnit@courtsni.gov.uk.
