You can get advice on problems with debt, benefits, housing, work and more. The national phone line connects you to a local Citizens Advice, and there is online chat too.

Good to know

Calls to Adviceline are free from mobiles and landlines. At busy times you might wait up to an hour. This number is for England; in Wales there is a separate Advicelink line, and the site has advice pages for Scotland and Northern Ireland.
