Not knowing yet is the job
One small thing you could do
Say "I don't know yet — can you show me?" out loud once today, at the exact moment you'd normally nod and secretly panic. The 'yet' is doing real work in that sentence, and every asking teaches your trainer where the map has holes.
My boss laughed when I said sorry, six weeks in, for all my questions. Give it a year or more, she told me — she'd be worried if I felt any other way.
