One small thing you could do
Say "I don't know yet — can you show me?" out loud once today, at the exact moment you'd normally nod and secretly panic. The 'yet' is doing real work in that sentence, and every asking teaches your trainer where the map has holes.
Six weeks in, I apologized to my boss for still asking so many questions. She laughed — said a year is normal, and that she'd worry if I didn't feel this way.
